      Pigeon River Outdoors owns and operates the division of Rafting in the Smokies, a branch that has been a whitewater rafting professional since its establishment in 1978. Rafting in the Smokies continues to set rafting standards in east Tennessee. The company schedules whitewater rafting trips with continual behind the scenes monitoring of logistical details. The river staff maintains relentless communication between the Big Pigeon, Ocoee or Nantahala rivers outposts and the main office creating a safe environment for customers to relax and enjoy their whitewater rafting experience. Pigeon River Outdoors is headquartered in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
