- Assistance League of Fullerton, a chapter of Assistance League, is a nonprofit organization of volunteers committed to serving community needs in Fullerton, Brea, Buena Park, La Habra, Placentia and Yorba Linda, Calif. Since 1940, the group has funded scholarships and clothing drives among other initiatives in north Orange County. Assistance League was the first nonprofit, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization founded in the Western United States to utilize volunteers to help those less fortunate. With approximately 24,000 members in 115 chapters throughout the country, Assistance League volunteers work more than 2 million hours each year to address the emotional and physical needs of children and adults of all ages through philanthropic projects. The organization was founded in 1894.
