AG Psychiatry, led by Pratibha Agarwal, MD, provides expert psychiatry services to patients ages 4 and older in the state of Texas. The practice offers a holistic approach to mental health concerns. Dr. Agarwal completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal, before working as a medical officer at SNR Carnival Hospital in Kalyani, India. She went on to work as a pediatric medical officer at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Malé, Republic of Maldives, before receiving certification from the Office of Mental Health (OMH) to train in preventing and managing crisis situations (PMCS). Dr. Agarwal finished her psychiatric residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, before completing a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship from Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York. She received several awards and honors throughout her career, has numerous publications, and holds certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Agarwal holds her medical licensure in Missouri, New York, California, and Texas, and is fluent in Hindi, Nepali, and English. AG Psychiatry treats mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and mood disorders. The practice offers psychiatric consultations to understand symptoms, medical history, and deliver a proper diagnosis.
