He finished his residency training in Psychiatry at the University of Chicago Hospitals and his fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry at the Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinics in Pittsburgh. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Chicago. Dr. Qayyumtakes a holistic approach in treating his patients. He believes in comprehensive clinical care, which encompasses a person’s medical, psychiatric, nutritional, social and spiritual domains. He has extensive clinical experience in various fields of psychiatry including: Adult Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, Consultation & Liaison Psychiatry, Neuropsychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry and Occupational Psychiatry. He is certified to perform Outpatient Narcotics Detoxification and Maintenance Treatment by using Buprenorphine.
