Enger School, located in Franklin Park, Ill., is affiliated with the Mannheim School District 83. The school serves students with disabilities who are in need of a functional academic curriculum. It focuses on providing life skills, functional academics and vocational employment to the students. Enger School s speech-impaired students use a variety of communication books and technology devices with verbal output to communicate in various environments, such as home, school, community and employment sites. The school offers a variety of programs, such as early childhood, early childhood autism, speech, occupational therapy, physical education, and hearing and vision impaired programs. It also provides several after school social club activities to students.
