Over the last 3-4 years I have been building a get away barn/cabin/home. It started out with my imagination and a very rough sketch of the size and shape, no detailed plans at all. I purchased part of the framing lumber from J.E. Womble and the rest of it from McDonald Lumber in Fayetteville. After the rough in was complete, insulation and the mechanicals my vision changed as to what this place would be. With the blessings of Harnett County inspections I was able to change the use from Agriculture to a man cave get away and finally to a dwelling. I started finishing the inside in a rust manor from TE Johnsons, now Southern Woods Lumber. The rough cut pine has been used throughout the home for cabinets, base boards, stairs, trim, casings, railings and more. We love the service from Southern Woods, especially Juan for helping me load. This has been a great place to buy finished and rough lumber, 6x6 treated posts and much more. Love this place.
