Great good, worst waitstaff in the world. The night my wife and I went, our first waitress didn't remember we had ordered. Second waitress brought our food with glazed eyes and then swished her bleach blond hair in it. October 2012
The next time I am in Dallas/Ft. Worth I will take my own advice and eat at this restaurant. There are three Hedary's in the U.S.: one in Dallas, one in Ft. Worth, and one in Las Vegas (their business card lists all three).
I have only eaten at the Las Vegas restaurant, which, by the way, is not near the Strip where, it is said, the best restaurants are to be found. I don't buy into that bit of propaganda; and find casino restaurants to be overpriced and usually just plain bad. When I am in Vegas, I eat at Hedary's, check out ""hedarys dot com.""
If the Hedary's in Ft. Worth and in Dallas are half as good as the one in Las Vegas, they are worth eating at. I am particularly addicted to their baked 1/2 chicken. It is basted with olive oil, lemon juice and garlic (a simple salad dressing) until a deep golden color results, and it is simply lovely. Their hummus, baba ghanoush and pita breads, Mediterranean basics, are to die for. But, don't take my word for it: every time I eat there, most of my fellow diners are Middle Easterners (with accents). That should carry some weight.
If you live in Dallas/Ft. Worth, do all ""City Searchers"" a favor by eating at either of the two Hedary's there and then posting your opinion of the meal. The next time I make it to that part of the country, I know I will.
And, if you make it to Las Vegas, do yourself a favor by skipping at least one meal on the Strip and driving a bit to experience true Mediterranean food at the Hedary's restaurant in that town. You will not be disappointed.
Sight unseen, I feel confident giving any Hedary's a 9.0.
