Zero stars. This company is a scam. The sales rep is a snake that lies and makes false promises. I called him to ask about these unexpected charges and he never showed up or called back like he said. They are linked with a few companies and charge heavy fees, penalize when you try to cancel, take more steep charges out of your bank account, then send you another collections bill, and finally a threat to return their equipment or face several more hefty charges. I filed disputes with my bank and got all my money back which proved they are cheats. How do they feel like victimizing people; how do they sleep?!

I will never use First American Payment Systems every again. I had used them for 2 years and 11 months when I found another merchant processor for much less. The contract was set to expire on 9/16/14, so I called them on 8/27/14 to close my account. But, since I called 20 days before the expiration date instead of 30 days, my account automatically renewed for 12 months, and there would be a $400 early termination if I wanted to close the account. I told them to bill me the early termination fee and close the account.

Now, it is 2/11/15, and I just noticed that they have been billing me $60 per month. So I called them again and told them that I cancelled on 8/27/14. They said since I did not send in a cancellation letter (which they never told me about), I still have to pay the $400 early termination fee + I would NOT receive a refund for the $360 in monthly fees ($60 per month x 6 months).

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! We have been trying to cancel this service for over 2 years! They keep changing 'the steps we need to take to cancel' or reps hang up on us when we try to cancel! They have taken over $1500 from our account and auto-renewed our contract for another 3 years! We have not used their service for over 2 years! We don't even have a credit card machine to run credit cards nor do we have a land line! I have never dealt with a more unethical or unprincipled company in my life!! Do yourself a favor and find someone else to process your credit cards!! I would give them negative stars if the form would allow it!!!

Be careful before sign the contract. You will stuck with it for at lease 3 years. Base on your contract. The sale representative was promise. But none have been done. U have to write a letter to them 90 days before ending contract. Lastly they still charge me to my account. I rate below zero star. Warning to u

I was charged a cancellation fee even though I went through the proper channels to make sure I would not be charged this fee. The customer represenitive gave me the wrong information and I am still having to pay the fee. CUSTOMER MUST BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS. Don't believe me then check out the complaints and actions taken against this company by the FTC.
