Dr. Schmidt is a native of Menomonee Falls Wisconsin. After completion of his undergraduate training at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, he attended Marquette University, College of Dentistry and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). David then more to Lexington, Kentucky where he earned his Medical Degree (MD at the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine, and his certificate to specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Schmidt resides here in Fond du lac with his family and enjoys his family time as well as the outdoors including hunting and shooting.Dr. Schmidt is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, American Medical Association, Wisconsin Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Fond du Lac County Dental Society and the Washington/Ozaukee County Dental Society and a Rotarian in West Bend.Dr. Schmidt's interests in the specialty include medicine, anesthesia, facial trauma surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, bone grafting for dental implants, and orthognathic surgery.

This was my 2nd tooth extraction with Dr. Schmidt in the past 6 months. His staff is incredible, and easy to talk to. Dr. Schmidt himself tells you step by step what he is doing and it just brings you a little comfort when you're in the chair. Oral Surgery Associates are the professionals. They know what they're doing so trust the process and communicate any special needs.

Everything was well-explained. I had been dreading the process, but there was only a small amount of discomfort and the procedure itself was quick. I went in and before I knew it, it was over! I am really glad I got the implant!
I received an implant for a missing tooth. The oral surgery was quick, painful for about 8 hours, and then no problem. Follow up was quick.
My biggest worry was what pain might be involved, and it turned out to be non-existent, All went well.
