I am from Phoenix, Az. I grew up there and I know both good and bad Mexican food. My wife and I were looking for Chinese food, got lost, but found this Jimboys taco. We went in and saw the menu, Please do not judge this book by its cover. Outside it looks like a Mayan or Inca temple, the inside looks like it was designed by Fred Flintstone. They offer 4 kinds of salsa, fresh, tomatillo, chipotle, and original. They also have HOT. I ordered the combo plate of beef/bean burro and cheese enchilada, it came with rice and beans and a portion of salad.. The wife had the chicken/rice burrito, The manager gave us a free ground beef taco (their specialty) Open mindedly, my wife and I started eating. We found the food flavorful, the sauces not over powering and very good! We both sampled the taco. It was definitely different! On the outside of the taco shell, while it fresh out of fryer, they lay it in parmesan cheese! It does a number on your tongue. JUST TRY IT.
