Provided by YP.comMy husband and I returned to this location for the third year in a row to have our taxes prepared and filed. From the moment he began preparing our taxes, it was clear that Joe DiAngelo was entirely out of his depth. Over the course of five weeks--yes five--Joe demonstrated a lack of thorough understanding of the U.S. tax code and an unwillingness to do the investigative legwork needed to complete the filing correctly. He just couldn't get it figured out. My husband spent upwards of 25 hours working with Joe on our taxes, and even provided him with a pamphlet to give added clarity. It was obvious Joe did not review in detail the helpful sections my husband marked off for him.
During this process, we considered just calling it quits and filing ourselves because Joe proved to be so incompetent, but we stayed the course because every time we connected with him to check in, he said he almost had it, and that he would call us when he had everything done and ready to sign. No phone call. So we called repeatedly throughout that five-week period to follow-up, with him rarely returning our calls. Finally, with everything done, my husband went into the office to sign off on the paperwork, and Joe tells us that the tax preparer we had worked with in the previous year had made mistakes on our filings. He told us we owed thousands and thousands of dollars--it wiped out over half our savings.
The mistake of this magnitude made by this company has eaten up all the money we were able to save in the past year. On top of that, there was no apology for the mistakes. They never waived their fee. And the hours and hours my husband spent on this, making up for Joe's obvious incompetence? Not even an acknowledgement. This is not how you run a business. This is not how you treat paying customers. They don't care about doing it right; they care about getting paid. That's it. Do not bring your business here. They'll screw it all up and leave you to clean up a very expensive mess.
