The National Lime and Stone Company is among the major producers of crushed stone in the United States. National is a source of construction aggregates and industrial minerals. National manufactures a variety of products for the nation's infrastructure and a number of basic industries. Crushed stone, in one form or another, is found in most construction projects. Additionally, National produces significant quantities of specialty dolomite-based minerals for the glass and steel industries. Other major uses of National's products include agricultural and lawn care applications, environmental remediation and acid neutralization and pollution control. They are also key ingredients in industrial fillers and sound-deadening products used by the automotive and roofing industries. National is a long-time steward of its non-renewable natural resources. It has well-defined programs to preserve the land and environment during all stages of commercial production. National was founded in 1903.
