I give Mama African Braids 5 stars. I was a walk - in appointment and was seen immediately. I came to get Dreadlocks I was in and out in a timely fashion. Friendly environment and if you had questions they were answered. I was really pleased with the service given and they provide a variety of services braids , weaves ,dreadlocks, and naturals. What more could you ask for? I definitely would recommend people to come and see for themselves.

I went here December 15, 2012 to get my hair braided. To start the didn't braid the braids to the end of my hair so my hair is breaking off, braids are coming out and then the back of my hair is so spaced out that it almost looks like i have thin spots in my hair. Mixed in the braids are spots where they didn't braid my hair at all so more breakage. The staff is rude, loud and slow and their service sucks majorly. When I went back for them to fix my hair they act as if they don't understand what I am talking about. I have been here several times before and never had this problem so I am not trying to bash them but their service has become garbage along with their braids. Wasted time and money.

Went to get my hair Micro Braided because my hair is natural and i wanted a style that i would need too much maintenance. I called before had to ask if it would matter that my hair hadnt been relaxed and would told that it wouldnt. The ending result of my hair was horrible after spending $210.00 my natural (Black) hair was left loose with the (Brown) hair that she added with mine. when asked if they could braid the hair farther down was told that it would be an extra 100 dollars and that it wasmy fault that i didnt advise her how far i wanted my hair braided with . I am discusted with the ending result as well as my experience. I would not recommend anyone go to this place.
