Established in 1901, Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital is located in Fayetteville, N.C. It has a 112-bed acute care facility, including a four-bed intensive care unit. Its facility features electronic monitoring and bedside care by nurses with clinical skills. Additionally, it has a palliative care unit that deals with emotional and physical issues. Highsmith-Rainey Memorial Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The hospital is also a part of the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center that provides various services, such as neurosurgery, trauma treatment, orthopedic surgery, pulmonary rehabilitation and occupational therapy.
