Being a native of NWA, I was familiar with The New School before I started my family. I knew it to be a very hands-on learning center with exceptionally devoted teachers. Today, our kids attend The New School because they thrive on being challenged academically, and being cared for in a loving environment. Beyond good grades on the report cards, my children are learning how to be brave and confident in the classroom. Take risks(!) and learn from their mistakes. Not just another student among many who is intimidated to rasie their hand. (Which is how I remember public school.) Every teacher, coach, cook-- knows and remembers my children, and they care about their well-being. The entire staff looks after the children and I feel very secure dropping them off with their school family each weekday.
