The counselors can help with marriage counseling, premarital counseling, family issues, addiction, crisis, trauma, parenting challenges, discipline issues, affairs, infidelity, drug use, couples struggles, grief, loss, career challenges, anger, marital conflict, communication skills, life coach areas, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar, mental health problems and collaborative services. All people, in some way, are wounded and the pain from the wounds(s) affects how a person lives his/her life. The pain can perpetuate problems in life and relations. Our counseling methods are client focused with an approach designed to walk along with you and help you build the resources needed to reach a solution to the problems you are facing. The counselors at Discovery Counseling have graduated from top graduate schools and are licensed or registered with the Commonwealth of Virginia as professional counselors.

      Dennis Gowin and Cheryl Gowin are the counselors at Discovery Counseling. I meet with Dennis. He is calm, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. Glad made the decision to ask for his help
