Fairfield County Sheriff's Office offers a range of services for the prevention of crime. The department has several specialized units, such as special response, K-9 canine, crime scene investigators, school liaison and resource officers, police student alliance program and community policing teams. It also offers the Police Athletic League, which is a recreation-oriented juvenile crime prevention program that relies heavily on athletics and recreational activities to tighten the bond between police officers and children in the community. The organization offers youth flag football and youth basketball and kickball as organized activities for children. Fairfield County Sheriff's Office is located in Farmington, Maine.
