We've only met with him once (for bail) and had one phone call so far (at 4a.m.), but as I am fairly inexperienced at this, he has been very reassuring. He has offered an exceptional amount of time and patience; personal experiences, opinions, and advice; as well as seems to be well received by those in authority. He may seem overly firm, opinionated, and unconventional to some, but I would definitely refer people to him to people I know in the future (unless something were to change radically).
