It's 2:15 AM so Denny's is a 5 star place. Daytime maybe 3 stars. The food is consistent, and it's a Denny's so if you've been to one, well, you understand. Some items are tasty, some are a good value and some meet both criteria. I really like the build your own grandslam. Breakfast 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The staff at this Denny's is courteous and efficient. Although like all struggling restaurants at the lower end of the scale sometimes short staffed so it can be hectic (nothing wrong with that, simple good healthy (or unhealthy at your option) food). You're not paying $45 for a steak like a fine dining experience at say the Met in Seattle, so don't expect slavish devotion to all your whims. They do what they can to meet special requests. I am pretty picky about my food prep and they have always reacted appropriately.

Went in on Sunday about 1 p.m., party of 7, and the service was terrible and we refused to tip. We were in the section next to the lounge door and had a waitress with an accent. I asked for a glass of water, got the smallest size, and my friend had one with lemon in it and received the regular size glass, and had to ask to have my water refilled, asked for plain green beans with nothing on them and was refused and waitress did not go out of her way to ask the kitchen if a special batch could be made, asked for mint tea and got a cup of hot water with mint flavoring in it instead of a tea bag, the fries tasted like they were cooked in old cooking oil, the chicken breast was so greasy it looked like it was cooked in lard, and the waitress acted like nothing was wrong despite hearing our complaints and seeing our dissatisfaction.
