When I first moved to this apartment complex, everything seemed to be just great. It's when I renewed my lease a year later and management had changed that things began to go downhill. First, this complex used to offer no pet charges, which is what really drew me in. Then they tacked on a pet rent fee of $20 per month, per pet. Which I think is ridiculous considering I have two pet cats and they couldn't/wouldn't tell me what my monthly fees actually went towards, plus a $500 pet deposit. Next, I had multiple ant infestations. I continued throughout my entire stay at Charter Club, living with the occasional ant infestation because getting help with this was impossible. At one point it got so out of hand, I called for maintenance/pest control and they said they couldn't come out for a week or two! I got so upset about the situation that one of the on-site maintenance workers offered to come to my apartment with me for me to show him and he said, "it's really not that bad, you can wait for the pest control to come out in a week." Um, excuse me, but I don't care if you think "it's not that bad" I still have ants which is not acceptable, no matter how many there are. He even made me cry because he made me feel like I was "overreacting," which he even said to me. So I had to purchase ant killers/pesticides with my own money. When my husband and I moved out of the apartment, we cleaned it from top to bottom. A week later we got a letter from Charter Club at our new residents stating that we do not get any of our pet deposit or security deposit back because we did not hire their "cleaning professionals" that they recommended. We lived in a one bedroom, studio apartment and they charged us OVER $500 to clean our carpets? Seriously? When maintenance come (which is typically once a month and they only give you a 48hr notice and enter without permission, whether you're home or not) not once removed their shoes! Can't they also track dirt into my resident?! Long story short, do not trust these people, they are complete scam artists. No matter how clean you keep your apartment, no matter how good of a tenant you are, THEY.WILL.SCREW.YOU. and you will not get your deposits back. The office management are completely rude and snippy, the office worker has no idea what she is doing/saying and will basically say anything to you to get you to leave. The apartments are all extremely out-dated from the 80s, the hottub is almost always closed, the pool is filthy, the workout room has limited equipment and the parking sucks. Stay away and save your money, go elsewhere!!! Wish I could give a zero star review.

My experience with Charter Club apartments started to go downhill once Pinnacle Property Management took over a couple of years ago. As a result of their annoying and expensive policies I have moved out and am very happy to be an ex-resident.

It started with the constant need for management to enter my apartment. They would give 48 hour notices without specifying when they would enter; they just said they would enter at some point between a several day span. They would not even specify a time frame during the day when they would enter. A new notice would appear every couple of weeks. So much for privacy!

Then, the new Charter Club lease agreement (drafted by Pinnacle PM) states that you cannot have any pets visit your apartment. My parents could not visit with their little 20 pound dog because the lease agreement said they were not welcome. Also, if you want to have a pet of your own, you have to pay a large deposit and a ridiculous extra monthly payment. How is that pet friendly?

As far as noise, at Charter Club it is very common for douchebags with loud stereo systems in their cars to drive by your bedroom window at all hours of the night. This place attracts some of the noisiest drivers/cars I have ever seen. (This is one of the few complaints that I have that is not directly related to management)

Charter Club says that you cannot store items on the front porch, yet my neighbors left their mountain of smelly trash in front of their apartment for the last year that I lived there. Charter Club never enforced their policy, and they probably still have trash out there.

The final straw was when they decided to increase my rent by about 15% unless I signed on for a full 1-year lease. In the past, I had just been doing 6 month leases for about ~2% more, so this was rather annoying. I decided to move, and while I searched for a new place to live, I went month-to-month. Charter Club charged me a full 40% more for month-to-month than the 1-year lease amount! How ridiculous is that?!

Do not rent at Charter Club apartments! They will try to scam as much money out of you as they possibly can while making your experience miserable. I have rented apartments for over 10 years and my experience with Charter Club over the last couple of years was by far the worst I have ever had.

I wish I could put ZERO star so the people can understand how a nightmare us this place!

I lived here for many years and we've got many managers during 6 years, the best was David with Essex, the other were not bad until we got the last one!

The real nightmare started with the last one, after the property was transferred to Pinnacle!

This new manager us so cheap and so dishonest! She increased the rent for me 3 times within 6 months, I use to pay 1069$. Imagine now she sent us a letter saying if we renew for 12 months, the rent will be 1337$

If you look to their site they say: 1040 to 1208 for 2 bd 2 bth, but this is a lie! I'm 6 years resident now who I never paid one month late they want me to pay 1337$ for 12 month rate.

They have clear discrimination! I tried to contact her superior at Pinnacle, OMG! She's worst!

They all keep ignoring my questions! I sent them many letters they never answered any of my questions!

All what they said you know it is the market bla bla bla, but the are discriminating and they are unable, unwilling and afraid to answer because they are stuck with their lies!

Don't try to get trapped with this place! They will take your money illegally by discrimination or retaliation!

Whoever interested in details I have everything detailed'

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid, Avoid Too expensive for this kind of apartment. They will trap you in the first year by a reasonable price then they'll rise the rent 15% every year, and you'll be trapped. Although the staff are good, but be carefull
