What a nightmare. Be careful with this gym, although it may seem as a great value the staff remain unprofessional and managers and owners are never to be found. I had been a member of this gym and attempted to cancel in accordance to their 30 day ""certified letter"" policy. It states that to cancel you must send a certified letter stating your request to cancel.
On August 31st 2007 in accordance to their policy I sent out a certified letter because I had been moving out of the area. They don't receive their mail and this was admitted by a Vice President of 365 Fitness Corporation.
The letter was sent back to me with a stamp ""unclaimed"" . When I tried contacting the gym, a manager was never there. Finally I drove to the gym and spoke with a member of the staff and she noted that I should not be charged for October and would not have any future charges. She also asked me to leave the envelope at the gym. Fortunately I made a copy of the envelope and letter.
Then finally I was able to speak to Marc-the owner of the gym, on the phone 3 days afters I had left the envelope. Marc said he never saw the cancellation envelope and state: ""We don't keep things like that around here."" Marc said if I sent him documentation showing that I had canceled on August 31st that he would take care of the situation. I sent an additional FedEx letter in December after being continuously charged, with all the information that Marc requested.
Finally after charging me for an extra 3 months, I contacted my bank and they put a stop payment acknowledging that there was fraud. However, Marc refuses to remedy the situation and their billing company twin oaks is still calling me asking for payments for November and December after charging me!!!!
I would be very careful joining this gym as if you join, you may never be able to terminate your contract.
