my husband was REALLY sick with a stomach bug. we didnt have the money to take him to the ER, so we took him here.
BAD mistake! everyone working there treated us like we were aliens. they all seemed spaced out. my husband could barely stand up he was so dehydrated and the doctor insisted he stand up for him to get his blood pressure taken. even though my husband was about fall on the floor right there! they treated him like he was on drugs!
then when they finally decided he needed an IV, the nurse couldnt get the needle in and caused him to bleed really bad. then one of the drugs they gave him, gave him a bad reaction and he started screaming in pain. when i tried to get someone to come help him, they all looked at me like i was crazy and then proceeded to ignore me! then finally someone acknowledged me and said, oh hes just having a bad reaction to the meds. then they gave him another med to fix that problem.
my husband had to be wheeled out of there in a wheel chair, and they gave a list of prescriptions to give him and NO explanation of what or when to give them to him!
i am getting sick and tired of all the medical places around here being like this. i have never in my life been treated so badly, as i have been treated at the medical places in and around augusta, ga!
So I went their thinking I had bladder infection. They took a sample then said I had to go the ER for a supposed high blood sugar episode. So I went to ER and paid 250 more than needed because I was dehydrated and had a bladder infection. Personally I would not suggest any body to go and get treatment from them
This rating is being generous. A 27 yr old fiance of an Army Vet, I just moved to Ft. Gordon to be married. I left this office in tears. I have suffered from extreme anxiety since I was a preteen. I had an unsuccessful surgery for endometriosis 2 yrs. ago and suffer the repercussions. I am currently on high doses of anti-anxiety and anti-depression medications and have been for several years. I see a psychologist once a week and participate in equine and group therapy. I am on pain medication for one week a month for my endometriosis. Before even meeting with me, the doctor assumed I was a drug addict because of my high doses and young age. He lectured me for 20 minutes about my drug addiction as if I were a recreational user, wrote me prescriptions for 3 days worth. I felt so degradded. He needs to be more in touch with patients, get to know them, and remember that each patient is different from the last. I was very disappointed by my visit.
