We dealt with ADS after a drunk driver drove into our porch on Thanksgiving Eve, 2005. The owner found out about the accident and knocked on our door a couple of days later. We ended up hiring ADS to do all the work which included, waterproofing 2 sides of the house, rebuilding the porch brickwork and column, as well as smaller jobs. Long story short, the water proofing had to be done twice, including redigging everything twice, and the brickwork had to be done twice, including ripping down the first guys work. The owner is out for his best interest and wants to pocket as much money as he can, and hired the cheaper contractor to do both the waterproofing and masonry work - both in which he had no professional experience. The city failed the waterproofing inspection, when they found that the drain tiles were installed face up (which explained why our basement was flooding), and our porch column was built crooked, and the grout between the bricks was thick and uneven. The owner ended up hiring a professional mason, who was more expensive, but worth every penny. He also handled the waterproofing. ADS needed to put in a new lawn and landscape, and it was done as cheaply as possible. For 2 years, it felt like we were walking on marshmallows on our front lawn, because they never tamped down the soil before they planted the grass. Our porch floor was done by ADS, and 8 years later, the wood is warped and splintered. My husband and the owner put the insurance money in an escrow account, that could only be withdrawn if both of them signed it out. After our work was completed, my husband checked on the account to pay ADS and found that the owner had taken everything out of it. A 6 week project turned into a year and a half. I believe the owner is a dishonest person, and I would encourage anyone looking for a contractor to keep looking.
