The Crawford County Security Company Inc. was established October 17, 1927 as a small loan business. Soon after its establishment, sale of insurance was instituted into the agency. The Crawford County Security Company has been in continuous business for over 85 years and has endured two catastrophic floods. The company was moved from its original location in downtown English to the new town addition in 1992. Majority stockholder, Curtis E. Benham has been an agent with the business since 1949. President of the company, Michael E. Benham has been with the business for over 40 years. Earlier this year, Jessica Benham Starr joined the ranks as a third-generation insurance agent for CCSC. The Crawford County Security Company has long standing relationships with various underwriting agencies, with one company being with our agency for over 60 years.
