A yr ago I would have given 5 stars. Recently I had a 2 hr wait after my scheduled appt before my pet rec'd his initial $35 "Regular Exam" performed on the floor of the over crowded waiting area. Then told I would have another 1 hr wait for x-rays & blood work, which turned into 2 hrs for a total of a 4 hr vet visit. My bill was shocking at over $200 & I was told to return in 3 days for re-check. I went expecting x-rays but unconcerned about cost, as approx 3 yrs ago I had a previous pet w/ pneumonia who had x-rays & return vist for a grand total of under $100. This time blood work was involved but I doubt it warranted a bill that more than doubled. During my extensive wait (w/ many others) I heard abnoxious bills w/ people being told to return in 2 - 3 days for recheck, making me wonder if that was just a ploy for another bill. I noticed all new docs, more than were exam rooms for. I get the feeling prices have risen drastically due to a total restructure and/or ownership.

Wonderful, always great and understanding with my over the top vet hating dog, and been going here for almost 6 yrs. They are reasonable and fair and don' t make you pay $35 to $40 just to walk in the door, you pay only for the services you receive and that is hard to find in this economy and I appreciate that!! Even though I think of my dog as human, my child, they don't make me pay for her visit as if she is. I have to listen to all my friends complain about their vets how much they have to pay for the same services I get. I just tell them your going to the wrong place and tell them either to go to my vet or stop wining like your pet!!! Thank you Englewood Animal Hospital!!

Took our dog there to have his ears cut was treaded great by front desk staff and by Dr. Botelson all were cring an good with our pup would recomend them to any one

Over the years Dr.Gilkison has gone out of her way to care for my shih-tzus.Even got to the point where she took one of my shih-tzus HOME for the night and treated him as one of hers.Dr.G takes great care of all the animals that come to see her.When I am in FL for 3 months during the winter,I always look foward to a trip with my shih-tzu to see Dr.G.The vets I use at my Delaware off-season home lack the care and training that Dr.G brings.Sure,I have to pay a FL Sales Tax on each vet visit versus NO DELAWARE SALES TAX but Dr.G is worth every penny!

Before moving to Englewood, over the years we had probably taken our cats to 5 different vets. By far, Englewood Animal Hospital has provided the best care, the most professional, friendly and accommodating staff and the most reasonable rates.

Top-notch "vets". Very caring and personable. Very reasonable fees. Genuinely care about animals. Have utilized ENGLEWOOD ANIMAL HOSPITAL for 10 years. Exceptionally pleased! Always remember my pets. Have always provided excellent care of my pets. Both "vets" are truly interested in the animals and their owners. I highly recommmend them to anyone living in the Englewood, Port Charlotte, North Port and Venice Florida area. You will not regret YOUR decision. It was the best decision I have ever made (relative to the care of my animals).
