Sunday brunch has become a tradition in the American culture. Families go after church, people go out for brunch after a fun Saturday night to rehash the events of the night before, married couples stroll to Sunday brunch to linger over their last weekend breakfast, and old friends meet over Sunday brunch to discuss their lives. What Do They Serve at Sunday Brunch?

Sunday brunch can either be a sit down brunch or a buffet. Sit down brunches are often characterized by fancy foods. Unique omelets, Eggs Benedict, and Quiche Lorraine are common staples at a fancy Sunday brunch. You may have a bread basket of different scones, muffins and breakfast roles if you visit a nice brunch place. Coffee, tea and juice are generally served.

Sunday brunch can also be buffet style, and you will be given many different breakfast options to eat. The specific food served at a Sunday brunch buffet varies, and often restaurants will do a special menu or fancy brunch on certain days such as Mothers Day or holidays to celebrate. Many people will also drink alcoholic beverages on Sunday brunch, and two popular ones that show up often on a Sunday brunch menu are Mimosas and Champagne Kirs. Mimosas are champagne mixed with orange juice, while a Champagne Kir is made with Creme De Cassis and champagne.

Sunday brunch usually begins around 10 AM and can last until as late as 4 PM. The specific hours and the menu may vary depending on the Sunday brunch restaurant so it is a good idea to call ahead to the restaurant you are planning on attending. Because of the popularity of Sunday brunch, reservations may also be required at some restaurants.
