The Ellisville Police Department works to provide public safety services, preserve peace, and enforce local, state and federal laws. It operates a criminal investigation bureau consists that processes crime scenes and conducts follow-up investigations. The department also maintains uniform patrol and traffic enforcement bureaus. The Ellisville Police Department conducts National Night Out, Amber Alert, Project ChidSafe and ride along programs, as well as handles home security checks. The Ellisville Police Department hosts a citizens police academy and has a community emergency response team. It also supports the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which helps children avoid involvement with drugs, gangs and violence. In addition, the department conducts the Crime Stoppers program, which seeks to identify criminals through citizens involvement. The Ellisville Police Department employs more than 20 full-time officers. It is located in Ellisville, Mo.
