About Dr. MauckWith decades of experience and training in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. James P. Mauck Jr., MD, is well-versed in womens care. Since 1987 he worked at River Oaks OB-GYN Associates, Elkhart, before joining Beacon Health System in 2023.He earned his MD at the University of Health Sciences (now Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science)/The Chicago Medical School, North Chicago, IL. His post graduate training occurred in several cities in Illinois: Family Practice Residency, Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria; Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency, Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge; and he was Chief Resident, Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency, University of Illinois at Peoria and Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria.Outside of his medical work, he has been very involved with Boy Scouts as an adult leader in various troop and pack positions as well as serving the Council on the Executive Board and Executive Committee. He is also active in the Catholic church and has served on various boards, as well as being a fourth degree member of Knights of Columbus. Dr. Mauck and his wife, Patricia, have eight children and two grandchildren.
