The person that takes care of car title releases will hold your car title after paying it off for more than 10 working days . Banking regulations say it can be held for up to 10 working days, however, this person wants to hold it longer. This prevents the new owner from obtaining the title or getting a temporary tag. Thus creating a problem as to who actualy owns the car, even with a bill of sale and the bank has the money and it is cleared. This situation would have to be settled in a court of law if something were to happen to the car. I would hold the bank and that particular individual responsible. In my opinion, this person has aterrible, spiteful attitude and should not be doing this job. We will never finance another car through this bank.
