- GlaucomaWe offer comprehensive eye exams by providing a thorough examination of the health of your eyes including diabetic exams since 2010. We fit contact lenses for patients with astigmatism and patients that need bifocal and multi-focal contacts. We also offer keratoconus treatment. Our physicians are trained to detect eye diseases such as glaucoma and to prescribe medications for eye infections, allergies, dry eyes and all forms of medical eye problems.
- Macular DegenerationMacular degeneration is when the central most area of the retina becomes structurally compromised or unable to function properly. The dry form of macular degeneration is a slow progressive damage under the retinal tissue. In the wet form, the change is rapid and due to abnormal blood vessel growth. Patients with macular degeneration may experience: central distortions or waviness, central black spots, and reduction in central vision. These changes can severely affect a patient’s lifestyle by interfering with reading, driving, and many other daily activities. Yearly comprehensive eye examinations including dilation are necessary to detect and monitor macular degeneration. We use optical coherence tomography (OCT) to scan for structural changes within the macula and digital retinal photography to document these changes. Treatment involves proper nutritional supplements. If retinal surgery or ocular injections become necessary, we coordinate your care with a retinal surgeon.
- Laser Eye SurgeryIt is a non-invasive technique for mapping the surface curvature of the cornea. It is used for refractive surgery like Lasik or PRK and aid in advance contact lenses fitting like Keratoconus. The photograph below shows steeping of the lower cornea in Keratoconus.
- CataractsCataracts occur when the natural lens inside the eye develops opacification, discoloration, or haze. Causes of cataracts include: aging, poor nutrition, UV light exposure, certain medications, infection, inflammation, trauma, or inheritance. Natural aging of the lens is the most common cause of cataracts. Typical complaints from cataracts include: poor night vision, reduced vision, glare, poor color discrimination, and light sensitivity.

- Diabetic RetinopathyAfter graduating from Florida State University in 1999 with a Bachelor in Biological Sciences, Dr. Do attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He completed their extensive clinical rotations, which provided a fundamental base for practicing full scope eye care. These include the Illinois Eye Institute specializing in glaucoma, ocular traumas, and diabetic retinopathy. Tallahassee Veteran Affairs clinic specializing in corneal diseases and Tyndall Air Force Base where he worked side by side with the flight surgeon to provide care for our fighter pilots. Upon graduation, Dr. Do decided to return to his home state to practice. He worked at the Ocular Surgical Center for several years managing LASIK, Cataracts, and PRK patients before going into private practice.
