I agree I lived there a few years ago and I would always find the handy men walking out of my apartment.. I got no notices that they were going to be working in my place.. Told the landlords they did nothing!! Stuff in my apartment i noticed came up missing .. Worst place ever!!!!
Before I begin with this review, I assure you all this is true. I am a soldier and I've lived in deplorable conditions and substandard living. This is WORSE. It's unbelievable the amount of issues I've had with this complex. I'm not one who complains about much, but this place is HORRID.
Where to begin??? When I first moved here, I loved the view...and, mind you, still do. It's what attracted me to this community in the first place. I am currently in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom w/ den. The layout and space is amazing for my furniture and my family. I love it. BUUTTTT...when you see the counter tops and the bathtubs, you start to notice that they're PAINTED with white paint! It's a pain to clean and the tubs are so warped and old that the water and dirt from showering never drains out well. It leaves a nasty residue afterward. You pretty much have to wipe out the bathtubs every time you use them. The showers have terrible water pressure, when they actually work. I've had both my showers break on me within a few weeks of each other. And they drains are SO slow, and disgusting. You can smell a stench coming up through the bathroom sink drains when you brush your teeth in the mornings.
What else? OH YESSSS...the A/C. My apartment got up to NINETY (90) degrees a couple times. I called maintenance and the property managers. They said this is "NORMAL." Uh, I don't think so. They gave me a how-to on using the thermostat, as if I'm 12 years old. They said I should never turn it below 70 degrees because it would freeze the unit. 70 degrees would have been more than comfortable to me. After THREE work orders, none of which fixed the issue, maintenance gave me a window unit...which cools the living room...and that's about it. I've had to strategically post up fans throughout the apartment to circulate the cool air. I just submitted my FOURTH work order today. I've been trying to get the A/C fixed since April. It is now almost August. Imagine my frustration...especially when I got my electric bill and saw that with the window unit, my bill went up by $150.
The ceiling fans wobble, and one of my ceiling fan pull strings stopped working altogether. I now have to unscrew the bulbs to turn off the lights and have the fan on at the same time. The electrical work is bad, and some of the outlets don't work properly. There are soft spots in the floor under the carpet.
The staff in the office is rude. The maintenance guys are useless. The pools are probably the only good part about this place.
I'm working on getting this place black listed by Fort Bliss. Wish me luck.
