You cannot go wrong at Holiday Point Marina. We docked a Hunter-34 there for five years, then moved up to a Bruce Roberts Offshore-44. Facilities at this family owned and operated marina are far above average, but without costly opulence. Access to Chesapeake Bay is as good as anywhere, less than half an hour to open water and you can usually raise sails just ten minutes from dock. Holiday Point is a full service marina, which means that they perform all work below the toe rail. This is a feature, not a drawback, because their staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and highly competent, and their rates are low, and you do not see amateurs messing about with hazardous stuff like bottom work. The docks are sound and mostly brand new. Cost is much less than you would expect to pay this close to Annapolis. The engine shop, Gunther Marine, is the best in the area and also low in cost. The slipholders, mostly experienced sailors, are helpful and sociable. Your boat is safe, here, even in a blow.
