General Info
The Wings of the North Air Museum is currently operating from a smaller, temporary location while it works to find a larger, permanent site on Flying Cloud Airport. Unlike other aviation museums that are restricted to one aviation group or era, this museum covers all aviation history but with a special emphasis on Minnesota’s contributions. From a full-size replica of Charles Lindbergh’s Spirit of St. Louis to a hot air balloon that accidently flew away during half-time at a Vikings game at the old Metropolitan Stadium with an 11 year old boy in the basket to a display from the Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame you are sure to enjoy your visit. Many beautiful pieces of aviation artwork and artifacts from many aviation genres are on display. Three or four aircraft are usually on site. These could be classic military planes, modern civilian planes, or anything in between. The WOTN Air Museum is open Saturdays, Sundays, and some national holidays from 11am to 3pm. Admission $10.The Wings of the North Air Museum is currently operating from a smaller, temporary location while it works to find a larger, permanent site on Flying Cloud Airport.
