JD's Birds is a unique small town business. We are a pair of do-it youselfer's and we keep adding new things to our "business". You have to be flexible and do it all to survive in a rural area. We hatch, raise, and sell heritage breed turkeys, pheasants and chickens. We sell scrumptuous free range organic eggs. We build fancy one of a kind "Yard Art" chicken coops as well as shelters for other critters - turkeys, dogs, sheep & goats. All of our shelters are built from uniquely colored rustic blue stain Ponderosa Pine which we harvest ourselves from dead trees on the Apache National Forest in the White Mountains of Arizona. We harvest all the trees with nothing but a chain saw, two stubborn people, and a 16' trailer with a winch on it. By not using heavy equipment and removing dead trees that contribute to the huge forest fires we've been having, we are "enviromentally friendly". We also sell custom fancy lumber that we cut to your order on a Timberking 1600 bandmill. The boards come out so smooth that you just need to run a belt sander over it and it's ready to turn into your next woodworking project. We will also cut your logs to order. We also use our fancy woods to create unique home furnishings such as coffee tables, boot boxes, benches, trash cans, tables, mirrors, frames, and woodboxes. We also have an art studio where you can buy original paintings, take classes, or have your pictures matted & framed.
