If I could give a negative I would. This is an absolutely horrible store with rude disrespectful employees. I went to find my wedding dress. I saved several to my favorites for the store to print out. They couldn't find them and basically told me too bad, so sad. I had to find them myself again and got no assistance. I had an appointment and that didn't seem to matter. My person did NOT listen to a word I said and kept trying to put me in dresses I hated. She left me standing in a dress for 25 minutes before we went looking for her. She abandoned me before my appointment was finished and went to help another customer. My friend had to help me out of the dress and went and asked her what she was doing. She had nothing but attitude and rudeness. I left in tears. What was supposed to be a happy occasion that woman dream of became a nightmare.

If I can give a negative point, I will!!

(1) They said in-store order will be faster than online order. IT IS A LIE!!! I ordered the same dress for 4 bridesmaids, 1 from this store, and 3 online. Online order is at least 1 week faster!! And it is not the first time. Last year, I was a bridesmaid and ordered myself a dress through that store, and waited for one month. Other bridesmaids ordered online for the same dress, and waited for 10 days. What a joke!! THEY LIED!!



(2) They refused to give any price match!! For the same bridesmaid dresses, I got price match for all my online order, through emailing the customer service. While the store refused to do so, and said the store does not give any discount as online does. THEY LIED as well!! Already filled up a compliant through their internal system.



Bottom Line: DON'T SHOP IN THIS STORE!! SHOP THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE!!

I went her to get a flower girl dress and found one that fit perfectly! Then when i try it on after they ordered a new one for me the size is off and all they tell me to do is get it altered! The alterations cost more than the dress did. Never sop here

Before I even went into David's Bridal in Durham, NC I went to their main web site and wrote down the codes of the dresses I wanted to see. I thought it would make it easier for the sales people and for me.

I went into David's Bridal with an expectation that because weddings are such an important day, they would have enough people and support staff to walk you through the process. I felt utterly lost. I did have someone greet me and they did have a few of the style numbers I wrote down from their website, but not a lot of them. I thought I decided on a dress I liked because they told me it would probably be out of stock or they would not carry that style in a year when my wedding was planned, so I felt that I had to get the dress quickly and my dad applied for their 12 month interest free credit card to pay for the dress. However, after thinking about what a rush decision I made, I brought a friend back with me to get a second opinion and we decided on a more expensive dress. At first this David's Bridal franchise did not have a problem with that because I was giving them more money, but when the shoes that I originally picked out did not match the more expensive dress that I switched it for, they told me that I had to pick another pair of shoes that were the same price or greater. Now mind you the first pair of shoes that I ordered had not even arrived at the store yet and the selection that they had available was scarce. I asked if I could have store credit to use on the web or get a refund for the shoes since they didn't even have the original pair I ordered in the store anyway, and they said no. I guess because all of David's Bridals are owned by Franchise owners, they will not call other David's Bridals stores to ship in another dress or look up an item their store does not have. They will order it from the warehouse from PA, but it takes at least 3 to 4 weeks to get it in the actual store.



I suggest if you do go to David's Bridal because they have cheaper prices, go on line first to pick the style of the dress you want, write down the codes, and call of the David's Bridal stores in your area to make sure they have it in stock first.

If I had known that once you pick something there you are stuck with it, even if you haven't received it yet, I would have been more careful and went to payless where they have dyable shoes that you can return if you do not like the way they fit. I felt the management was snoody and the couple of times after I ordered my dress to get help with other accessories I literally had to wave my arms in the air to have someone come and help me.



All of my brides maids had similar experiences with lack of customer service.



Good prices, but don't expect customer service or ever getting a refund.

My 1st experience w/ David's Bridal was very pleasant. I had picked out the bridesmaid dress I wanted, & decided to pop in to have my sister try it on. Good thing we did because I didn't like the fit! The sales associate was very helpful finding a bridesmaid dress that I liked & a style that would look good on a variety of body shapes & sizes! Plus, it's nationwide---ideal for a bride with bridesmaids in a few cities. I was impressed enough to schedule an appt to try on bridal gowns since I had not purchased one yet. We set it for 6:00 on a Tuesday. Now, I ended up being about 15 minutes late because of traffic. I called to let them know I was late, but I was rushed off the phone. I guess appts. don't really matter, because noone was waiting for me when I walked thru the door. There were people everywhere, and my sister and I waited for a half an hour with no service. I guess it's hit and miss. I'd prefer to get a more personalized experience if I'm planning on spending $700 on a dress

Lot of great times, but go on a weekday or first thing on a weekend because the place gets packed quickly!

I had brought my dress at the Fayetteville location and they were so accommodating and professional. I took my bridesmaids to purchase their gowns at the Durham location. I was VERY disappointed. We had made an appt. and had no help from the "appointed" clerk. She was trying to rush us out of the door and had no clue about what the store carried or offered. I went back several times to the Durham location (only because it was closer for me) for alterations, shoes, accessories, etc, and each time I went in it seems the staff got worse and worse (other girls in the shop noticed it as well, so I know it was not just me). Dresses and accessories are expensive and you would think they would give you the treatment you deserve since you are spending so much money in their store. I would have rather spent extra money and went somewhere else that was more professional. AVOID THE DURHAM LOCATION!
