Short and sweet $250 worth of brand name power tools never used offered $40 when I told him I was picking back up in two days just needed money for gas and wanted to make sure my daughter could have food for next couple of days because BEING a GOOD GUY lent her MONEY never was paid back and had to take care of her for next couple of days with out notice!Also told I couldn't get it back for 11 days?Than when I said give me more than was told bring me more stuff when he said he didn't what what I had anyway and want to hold that for 11days?Just plain cheeeeeeeeap and rude!Got double at another place and was told you can pick it up anytime!God bless this guy,he surely needs it!

I was encouraged by the helpful gentleman who assisted me on purchasing a cell phone only to find out it was stolen. When I took it to Sprint to have it activated, I was informed to take it back to where I bought it since it was stolen. I thought pawn shops had an obligation to determine merchandise being brought in was not stolen especially cell phones. Stay away!!!!

I've been to a fair amount of pawn shops and these guys are my favorite by far. They are extremely fair and helpful. They keep customers happy and do their best to make sure you become a loyal and repeat customer. 5★

I've been coming to this pawn shop since 2013 only because one employee who is no longer working at this establishment, everyone their is nice however the way this employee helped me was unparalleled and his service was five stars! Very hard working and always did what he said. I will no longer be a customer of this business and recommend that for anyone else that worked with Rolando no longer come here, for no one working here can keep me coming back like he did. I will take my business elsewhere. Bring him back and I will not spread this news anymore.

I went to poplar pawn all the way from D.C. to purchase a watch that I had seen on the internet when I got there the watch was as good as it look on the internet and the customer service was even better my salesman was Steve and he was so good that a keep in touch with him and two months later I purchased another watch from Steve for my wife for her birthday... Would highly recommend going to Popular Pawn and especially seeing STEVE....AAA service

WOW! I wanted to sell some of my old jewelry to help pay for the cruise i am taking in September so i brought it here and all i can say is wow! The service was outstanding, the employees were as friendly as can be, and the store was beautiful! I shopped my gold around and needless to say their offer blew everyone else in the area out of the water. This store does great business and i have recommended it to everyone i know. A few of the ladies i play cards with have sold their gold here and they were just as pleased as i was. My friend even sold her old silverware and got over $1000! I didn't even know they were a pawn shop! Must say this place is great and i recommend it to anyone looking to sell their old jewelry.

I use to be a long time customer of this establishment until my recent experience with the manager and one of the employees . A couple weeks ago I took a few iPhones to get a loan , I was offered $450 for an iPhone 5 by a Hispanic employee which I respectfully declined . I went back a few days ago to take up the offer but the manager working there basically accused me if lying and saying there is no way any of his employees would of made such an offer . He kept coming up with excuses saying the phone could be stolen even though I offered to call Verizon in front of him to confirm it was mine and then he kept saying he couldn't verify the phone was unlocked even though a quick google search confirms all Verizon iPhone 5's are unlocked . And then he tries to lie to me by saying a brand new iPhone 5 like mine was going for 350-450 on eBay even though I showed him in eBay they were going for $600. Needless to say the Hispanic employee who made the offer for $450 was working there on the same day and he basically lied to my face and said he never made that offer . These guys don't care about long time customers and will do anything to take advantage of hard working people . I had taken a white gold chain a few months ago and they quoted me $15 bucks for a 18k white cold chain that's worth $600. These people are clueless and will disrespect customers by making laughable offers and will lie to your face to make a buck . Safe yourself the trouble and doing your business at a establishment that's more trustworthy.

They are the best place to pawn I know from my experience I didn't have the money to pay on my pawn couple of times I called n talked to them and let them know what was going on they held my pawn and just rolled the holding fee over to the next month they are the best pawn shop around thank you poplar for all your help Loyol custermer mike thompson

i think poplar is the best place to pawn or sell anything. they give you the most money. theyre way more personal then any other pawn shop in the area. the employees rock!

I have dealt with them both purchasing and pawning on several occasions. I find them to be professional, friendly and informative. I find them to be a very pleasant business to deal with. Certainly fair.

In my two times dealing with this pawn shop the woman that assisted me was extremely rude and acted like she would rather not be helping anyone. I also stood at the counter for a rather lengthy period of time with employees looking at me, but not bothering to ask if I was being helped. The store was not crowded at all. I don't see anything outstanding about the employees or the service offered.
