The Local Homebrew Shop, of LHBS to brewers, is a great resource and Omaha is lucky to have two. Fermentors supply is a small shop, but tightly packed with a wide range of supplies and ingredients. Frank, the owner/operator, is a wealth of knowledge and an award winning brewer himself. In the internet ordering era, local shops like these struggle to be price competitive, but offer a level of service that the online shops struggle to match. If you want to support the local economy and want/need homebrew supplies, this is a great place to go.

I had been going next door to Cornhusker Beverage, but upon learning of the existence of Fermenter's Supply, and that they will crush grain for you, I visited the store. My first impression was that the place was very small. Nevertheless, it's packed with lots of supplies and ingredients. I walked into the door and was greeted, or should I say confronted by the store owner. I told him that I heard he crushes grain. He must have thought I had a huge sack of grain in my car I was expecting him to crush for free. After clearing that up, I rattled off what I was looking for, and he immediately filled my order. Very nice! I perused the store, and was impressed with the selection of bottles, wort chillers, and general brewing equipment. I also wanted to pick up a couple of 3 gallon carb Overall, the selection of ingredients (especially yeast) is outstanding, and equipment very good. He seems like a very knowledgeable person. I'll be purchasing my grain and yeast from Fermenter's Supply

Was a little hesitant to shop here with some of the other reviews. But, the gentleman who helped me. don't know his name, was helpful and not rude at all. Not sure if it is the same guy others were complaining about, but this guy was not insulting, answered every question I had. He showed me all the beer recipe kits and gave me some pointers. Things seemed a little pricey, but there is shipping cost and he has to make a profit. I'll go back again
