      General Info
      The Children's Center of Wayne County is located in Detroit. The center provides more than 25 programs through various program divisions of service, focusing on needs of children and their families. Its early intervention division offers preventive services to infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their parents for emotional and environmental problems. The center also offers families with support and resources to manage specialized emotional needs of children. Its family and neighborhood services division serves children in schools, homes and community by offering mental and public health, education and juvenile justice services. The center s behavioral health care services include treatment support for depression, suicidal and withdrawal behaviors. It provides specialized treatment for victims of sexual and substance abuse. The center also provides out-of-home placement and treatment for neglected and displaced children. Its additional services include licensing, foster care and adoption.
