Welcome to Destin Harbor Dental - Jamison L. Plantz DMD PA!Our office is dedicated to providing excellent dental care in an efficient and ethical professional environment. Dr. Plantz is a family and general dentist and his work includes general dentistry, root canals, bridges, extractions, partials, complete dentures and cosmetic restorations.Dr. Plantz began his career at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, Florida, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1997. He served as a Captain in the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, where he participated in their Advanced Educaion in General Dentistry program. The following two years in the Air Force were served practicing dentistry at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. Dr. Plantz began practicing in Destin, Florida, in July of 2001.

I have been going to Dr. Jamison Plantz for about 3 years, He is great works with you for comfort and is very professional. The staff is great also, I give him a 5 star rating.
I am a patient of Dr. Plantz and have been for years. This past week I had a terrible toothache and called to see when I could be seen. They got me in right away and found the problem right away! I guess I was grinding my teeth and had not been using my night guard. I did tell Dr. Plantz that I was taking good care of the guard in that I kept it clean and in water. That's when the good Doctor informed me that the guard was not helping the grinding of my teeth when it is sitting in a bowl of water instead of my mouth. But I digress.
The Harbor Dental people are the best ever starting at the front office and all the way to Dr. Plantz and his assistant, and back to the front office. You are treated as if you are the most important patient they have. Even Suzie, the lovely lady that cleans your teeth is a treat show all on her own and makes the cleaning experience fun! They all make you feel as if you are part of their family.
Another great thing about this practice is that they can do it all and you don't have to be referred to many other dentists.
Dr. Plantz was an Air Force dentist before taking over this practice. What's not to love about a patriotic highly professional dentist! And, you will love the experience at this dentistry.

Had my first visit today. The staff were great. Doctor Plantz is wonderful. He was patient and caring and ensured I was comfortable and not in any pain. He explained the procedure before and during. He continually asked if I was in pain throughout instead of getting in n out like my last dentist and when I said I did he administered more anesthesia not once but twice. I really appreciated that. I think I’ve found me a dentist for life.
I broke a crown and tooth on way to Florida where we were staying for the month of January. Found good reviews for Jamison Plantz. Went there and he was great. Did root canal, sent me to Periodontist to get gum work done, fitted me with a new crown and filled a tooth that he found cracked on x-ray. He is much better than my personal dentist at home and I think I will use him as my personal dentist since we will come down to Destin every winter.
I've been going to Dr Plantz since he took over the practice. Best in town.
