I would highly recommend Dr. Whitmer. He is very knowledgeable and will take the time to listen to you and make sure all your questions are answered. He is not in a hurry to dismiss you. His personality is refreshing for a doctor. He's considerate of no only your time, but also your dignity. He's a terrific surgeon and if I ever need another one, I know exactly who I will call. He was referred to me as an expert in hernias (although he does more types of surgeries) that three other doctors missed. One told me to use a cane and "good luck". He was able to diagnose the hernia without further testing. He's a total gem in doctors.
