General Info

I work with clients who want to make important changes in how they feel, their happiness level or in their general functioning. I offer practical tools and management techniques and strive to empower clients to learn to thrive both personally and in relationships. I view each person as a unique tapestry of life events and personal characteristics. For many, distress sources are rooted in early childhood experiences with less than ideal parental relationships and attachment deficiencies. Resolving and moving past family of origin wounds is a practice specialty and passion of mine. I've been helping individuals/couples for 20+ years to manage their emotions, improve relationships, deal with challenges, heal from trauma and abuse, eliminate self-destructive behaviors and feel more secure. Lifelong learning is a core principle of my practice, and is something I strive to live by as well. My approach and style are interactive, down-to-earth and practical. My philosophy is that therapy is a co-creative process-and I take great care to ensure that my clients develop tools and strategies that help them not only to feel better but also to live better.
