- FillingsTooth colored fillings offer significant advantages when compared with silver/gold amalgam fillings. What’s more, because silver does not stick to teeth, healthy tooth structure is often removed so as to keep the amalgam filling in place. Composite fillings enable your dentist to focus solely on the decay, preserving all healthy parts of the tooth. Unlike silver fillings, composite fillings expand just like your teeth do and are much less likely to cause cracks in your tooth. Composites bond directly to the tooth and provide support. They also insulate against hot and cold as opposed to amalgam fillings, which conduct temperature changes. This is why, at Barotz Dental, we use only composite fillings and porcelain inlays when repairing cavities.
- Resin CompositeBonding is a process in which a composite resin matching your teeth (similar to tooth enamel) is applied to the tooth’s surface. Once applied, the composite resin is sculpted into cosmetic perfection, hardened, and then polished. This procedure usually takes one visit.
- Gold RestorationsMercury containing amalgam (silver) fillings or gold restorations. Some people don’t want metal in their mouth for either health or aesthetic reasons. With the advent of

- Gum SurgeryGum disease is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults, yet many do not seek treatment because of a legitimate fear that the traditional surgical method is extremely painful and invasive. For mild to intermediate cases of gum disease, Dr. Barotz recommends conventional treatment methods, including cleaning & scaling, and treatment with dental antibiotics. - Invisalign OrthodonticsAt Barotz Dental, we don’t offer regular Invisalign, we offer SuperFast Invisalign with Propel technology. Among the benefits of this advanced Invisalign treatment are faster and more predictable teeth straightening. During the six to 12 month treatment period, advanced 3-D computer imaging software is used to create custom-made aligners that move your beautiful smile into place. SuperFast Propel Invisalign is a truly high-tech treatment, correcting a broad range of dental and orthodontic issues while shaping a beautiful smile.
- BracesIf your teeth aren’t perfectly straight, or don’t meet together properly when you close your jaw, you certainly aren’t alone. Alignment problems such as twisted, crooked or gapped teeth, or under/overbites are common complaints made by people who are embarrassed about the appearance of their teeth. In the past, there was only one solution – a set of orthodontic braces. These metal arches were attached to the teeth and tightened with brackets and wires so that they would move into a more desirable position. Closing gaps between teeth is also beneficial for your dental health as straighter teeth are much easier to clean and less likely to have small areas where bacteria and decay can accumulate.
- Teeth WhiteningSome patients experience sensitivity after bleaching. This sensitivity normally lasts 48hrs. We recommend over the counter pain medications such as Ibuprofen, Advil or Tylenol to counteract any discomfort you may be having. If the sensitivity persists more than 3 days, please call our office at (303)595-4994.
