Attorney Brian Jones serves as lead trial counsel on all cases and Attorney Juli Siegrist serves as second chair counsel for trials and motion hearings as necessary. Additionally, she serves as the firm librarian by coordinating the motion practice aimed at defending our clients against the illegal actions of police and prosecutors. The firm's administrative assistant coordinates scheduling with both courts and clients and provides document organization and support services in litigation settings. Finally, the firm regularly employs law students from local law schools to assist in legal research, so the firm stays on the cutting edge of legal technology and jurisprudence.Founding partner, Brian Jones, is licensed to practice in all Ohio courts including the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio. He is a former Assistant Public Defender in Portage County, Ohio. During his service there, he demonstrated his uncompromising commitment to his clients when he refused to begin a trial with only two hours of preparation when ordered to by the court. He did this because he did not want to sacrifice his client's right to effective representation and a fair trial. The court found him in contempt and Brian was arrested. He received national attention for this and was later honored with a President's Commendation for Outstanding Service by the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers for his actions.
