I was scheduled for lab work at Diabetes and Endocrinology Associates- Decatur, late Friday afternoon. Upon arrival and a brief waiting period, I was then called up to the desk and informed that they didn't conduct sampling for an outside laboratory any longer, and that I would need to take paperwork to another lab, to have the work conducted there. I noticed on the paperwork that the outside laboratory hours were posted, so I inquired of the lady if the laboratory was still open (although I did not doubt her ability to read, I did have my reservations concerning her ability to comprehend, as the hours stated M-F 7:30AM - 4:00 PM, and the current time was now 4:20 PM.) In the email I received, from their office, earlier in the week, I was reminded of the upcoming appointment, but no mention was made of going to an outside laboratory. Incompetence is one thing, but paid incompetence is absurd. If you have an entire staff of personnel, dedicated to the sole purpose of scheduling, but cannot perform the simplest of tasks, then what is the purpose of their existence in a "Professional"building? Why not downsize or hire competent people, who are attentive to their duties. Now two trips are the order of the day, when one trip should have sufficed.

I see APRN-BC Martha Tallman Horn for several years, She is very positive and helpful. She is patient in helping you determine the correct treatment plan for you. I highly recommend this practice.
