I cannot say enough good things about Druid Hills Eye Care optical, their staff, and Dr.Solomon. Their service is top notch, the frames look great, and the staff truly acts as style consultants who help you find the best glasses for your face, even if you were apprehensive to try one of the more stylish frames at first.



I was recommended to Druid Hills Eye Care by a close friend who was a very satisfied customer. My first visit was for an eye exam (and for new frames) was a few years back.



In the subsequent years I've gone back for more eye exams and frames. I truly value the opinion of their staff who over the years have persuaded me to try "bolder" frames than I ever would of on my own, and I've thoroughly enjoyed the rave reviews of my glasses that I get from friends, family, and even strangers on the street.



It was a recent experience though that really illustrated to me just how special Druid Hills Eye Care is. After deciding to try a pair of contacts, I went in to see Dr.Solomon for a fitting, and later, to learn how to put the lenses in and out. As someone who is incredibly squeamish about eyes, I just could not get the lenses in or out, even after multiple visits. While I was frustrated and embarrassed, Dr. Solomon showed nothing but the utmost patience with me, offered reassuring words, and had me come back as many times as it took, even letting me stay beyond my appointment time to keep trying. I highly doubt I would have had a similar experience at another establishment, and as I sit here typing with my new lenses in, I couldn't be happier.



In short, if you only seek the lowest prices and commodity frames, there are plenty of places to go. But if you're looking for personal and attentive service, friendly staff, and cool frame designs that you won't see others wearing, do yourself a favor and visit this place.

I just got back from Druid Hills Eyecare and I would highly recommend going there for glasses if you want personalized service and attention. I am a very indecisive person, and Elena, optician, was incredibly patient as I went through tons of frames. I was there for 2 hours and she was so nice and kept assuring me to take as much time as I needed. Then the doctor came in, and let me take a pair of contacts from his office so that I could see as I tried on the frames (because before that I had had trouble seeing what I was trying on).



They were just really great, personable, knowledgable and informative through every step of the process. Highly recommended.

I recently saw Dr. Solomon for an eye exam at Druid Hills Eye Care . I've seen several different optometrists over the years but was never impressed enough to go back. As a doctor, I expect my medical professionals to give me the same quality of care that I strive to give my patients. Dr. Solomon was incredibly thorough, answered all of my questions, and was very friendly. I will definitely be returning to his office and referring all of my friends and family. I also intend to refer my own patients who may be looking for an optometrist.



The staff at Druid Hills Eye Care were more than helpful and went beyond just friendly service. When they returned my old glasses after checking my prescription, I noticed that they had tightened the temple screws that have been loose for the past year. -Even such a minor detail did not go unchecked.



I highly recommend this group.

This office has a comfortable setting, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Dr. Solomon is friendly, personable and competent. He did an awesome job with my eye exam and contact lens fitting. He was much more thorough than previous eye doctors taking extra time to find a brand of contact lenses that I could wear comfortably. He suggested type of soft contact lens that corrected my astigmatism. The improvement in my vision is amazing. For that I gladly drive across town every year for my eye exam

Although I did not find the staff to be rude, I was over-charged by quite a bit, and pressured to purchase more expensive eye-wear. I will not be going back.

I went here one afternoon because it was close to my home. I gave my insurace information beforehand, and was expecting the same co-pay amount that I've been paying for my eye exams for the past 7 years. However, when I got there, Dr. Solomon was rude and rushed me through my exam, often interrupting me when I tried to speak. He diagnosed with astigmatism, however, he didn't even dilate my pupils. After he gave me my prescription, he tried to pressure me into buying glasses that were out of my price range (I'm a college student, so I'm on a tight budget). When I mentioned to him that I would like to look elsewhere for glasses, he seemed annoyed and then rushed me out of his office, but not before charging me more than three times what I normally pay for a routine eye exam. I also found that he charged me for an extra test that he didn't even perform. When I asked him about it, he said my vision insurance couldn't be verified, even though his secretary told me beforehand that it had. (Already) long story short, I was overcharged and treated poorly. I will never go back there, except when I go Monday to get my refund for the money he overcharged me.



Constructive criticism: Deal with people honestly. There's only so many times you can mistreat and cheat customers before you get caught.
