      The Department of Public Works is a part of the City of Dearborn Heights government located in Dearborn Heights, Mich. The department operates water, highway, and building and maintenance divisions. Its water division maintains more than 1,400 miles of water, sewer and storm lines and provides water systems installation and repair services to newly built houses. The department s highway division provides street sweeping, tree trimming and removal, and street sign installation and replacement services. The Department of Public Works also maintains more than 25 city-owned buildings and parks. It additionally installs voting booths for elections. The department is located in Dearborn Heights, Mich.
