I don't think so. The other two reviewers must just be complainers. I use Vic every time I need shoe repairs. I have never been disappointed with him, his employees, or his work. He will have been in business 38 years this October. How many businesses can say that today? He wouldn't be able to either if he were the ogre he's been portrayed. They do good work you can count on.

The first part happened to me, too! i kept calling and it was months before they had my boots done. The frustrating part was that after they were done I did not get around to picking them up. Then they called for the first time and said if i didn't get over there they were going to sell my boots in two weeks!

I think the delay was because they were remodeling at the time. Still, they are not the most customer oriented place I have ever been. They are not ever very friendly However, I keep going back because i have always had excellent work done by them.

I have had them repair zippers, boots, shoes, purses and I am willing to put up with their attitude because they are so good at what they do.

Don't use them. Our boots were not done the first time they were suppose to be, or the 2nd time they were supposed to be. (according to others in the store this is a common issue with this business). When the boots were done being re-soled, they had been drawn up and fit very tightly, which they didn't do when I took them in. I have had 4 other pairs of boots re-soled at other places in the past and have never had this issue, but Vic's told me that always happened when they did them, so beware of that too.

Customer bounced a check in june of 2008, and promised to pay us all at once, a little bit at a time, still 15 months later still nothing,
