- Laboratory ServicesAs in human medicine, the anesthetics available for sedation of companion pets are extremely safe. However, in order to minimize the potential risk associated with sedation, it is vital for us to know the complete health status of your pet before placing him or her under anesthesia. An examination and pre-anesthetic blood work are required for all pets undergoing sedation or anesthesia.
