Founded in 1947, the Springfield Township Fire Department provides a range of fire safety and prevention programs to the general public. It offers response services in cases related to medical emergencies, hazardous material incidents and vehicle accidents. The department additionally provides rescue and vehicle extrication services. It also offers education and training programs for school, students. In addition, the department provides fire inspection and investigation services for residential and commercial properties. It has a staff of more than 30 assistant chiefs, paramedics, firefighters and technicians. The department is a part of Springfield Township, which operates cemetery, library, planning and police departments. The Springfield Township Fire Department is located in Davisburg, Mich.
