      General Info
      Parks & Recreation is one of the departments governed by the of city of University Park, Texas. It maintains and develops eight major parks to serve a wide variety of recreational needs for the citizens, including Burleson, Caruth, Coffee, Curtis, Germany and Goar parks. The department maintains all parks medians and traffic islands to attract University Park residents. It plants trees and shrubs, as well as flowers. Its maintenance service includes weekly mowing, trimming of trees, daily trash pickup and irrigation for landscaped areas. It also offers swimming pool ranging in depth from 3 to 14 feet. Its Burleson park amenities include baseball and practice soccer fields, lighted tennis courts, playground and picnic facilities.
